Background
Betts Ecology know that landfill is a controversial subject, but once a site is complete, there are many opportunities for habitat creation and biodiversity enhancement.

Major Landfill Company – English Midlands.
Operations
Betts Ecology undertook phased biodiverse habitat creation peripherally and as sections of the site were completed and capped. Newt ponds and species-rich calcareous grassland including conservation of autumn gentian and other calcicoles; writing and implementing Nature Conservation Management Plan.
Outcome
Betts Ecology achieved successful establishment of planned conservation habitats, delivering biodiversity enhancements.
